Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Delta Training Academy?
The Delta Training Academy is a dedicated training course provider based in the north of England, specialising in fire safety training courses from Level 02 to Level 07. We have an in-house development team who work alongside our team of fire engineers (at Delta Fire Engineering Ltd) and fire science researchers (at Delta Research & Development Ltd) to identify key training requirement across the sector and develop regulated course material for delivery through the Academy.
Who are the course instructors?
All of our courses are taught by experts in the field, the majority of whom are in-house professionals employed by the Delta Innovation Group as Fire Tutors and practitioners. For some specialist courses we will bring in an Associate Trainer where this will give the best learner experience, however all Associates are interviewed and briefed before being engaged to deliver a course. All course material, whether delivered by an in-house Trainer or an Associate, is developed by the in-house course development team.
Who developed the course material?
All material delivered at the Delta Training Academy has been developed in-house by our team of expert practitioners and trainers. No material has been bought or licenced from another source, and we have invested heavily in our in-house capabilities to develop high-quality training material.
Do you deliver online courses?
The vast majority of our courses are taught face-to-face, however some courses that lend themselves to online delivery are offered via this medium. So many of our courses rely on the facilities that we have built and the ability to carry out live demonstrations and testing that these courses can only really be taught face-to-face.
How do I book a course?
Check out the course page for your chosen course and book via the website. Alternatively, reach out to us directly at info@deltafiretraining.co.uk and we can advise on availability for upcoming training courses and dates; as well as reserve you a spot.
Are you recruiting for teaching and research staff?
We are always interested in hearing from experienced Trainers and Researchers who share our Values and are looking for opportunity to make real change in the fire sector. If this is you, please do reach out to us for a discussion.
Can I rent your facilities for my event?
We do rent out our teaching and Fire/Skills Lab facilities on an ad-hoc basis and would be happy to discuss your needs. Please get in contact with your requirements and one of the team will be in touch.
Are you developing more courses?
Absolutely. We are always developing multiple courses and planning their roll-out. Currently we're developing Level 05 courses in 'Fire Engineering' and 'Fire Safety Management'; as well as a Fire Extinguisher training course and the first regulated Wildfire mitigation course in the country.
